hi, Just wanted to know have any one done capacity evaluation other than time unit. We have space constraint in our work center and wanted to know length of each job and see how much orders can be fitted in one production line.
I am able to create a parameter with unit as FT and attach it to standard value. I am able to maintain length of each product too. But when I create a capacity category and formula to use this parameter only, I am not getting cumulated length .
If this can be done, I want to know can we do levelling also ( which I beleive that it cannot as all leveling charts are time based only) in this case.
cheers
Rav
Hi Rav,
I believ that it can be done; nevertheless you need to define the capacity units as such, and make sure that you have at least one capacity that has units as time (used for scheduling).
