FPN setup between two Netweaver 7.0 portals SPS 20 on the Same Host

Dear All ,

I have installed two netweaver 7.0 portals SPS 20 on the same host and was trying to setup FPN between them.Followd the below steps .

1. Successfully Created Trust between Consumer and producer and tested as well.

2. Unable to register Producer in consumer.Giving the following Error.

<<<<<<Producer Connection

Test Details:

Checks if a producer object exists for the producer

Opens a connection to the handshake URL and receives the WSDL file

Parses the WSDL file and extracts the different port URLs

Results

Producer object was found

Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid >>>>>>

Also when I go to Producer Registration Tab on Consumer portal it gives error

<<- The producer URL you specified is invalid or the remote server is not responding>>>

In the default Trace file am getting Unknown host exceptions:

I am not sure whether FPN can be setup b/w portals on the same host???I have done it b/w portals on differnet hosts .This is to simulate our production environtment so made system copies of two production portals on the same host to setup fpn.

Can please help me to overcome this issue.

Hi Khaiser,

Could you please post how you fixed the issue, did you just added the entires in the host file..I am also facing the similar issue, Certificates are exported and imported properly between EP and BI portals and SSO is working fine and is tested. But Connection test is failing for the producer object in consumer with the same reason as " Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid >>>>>>. Appreciate if you can share the solution..

Hosts entries were the issue.
