Hi SAP HCM Gurus,

I am new to the SAP world and I am exploring Time Management now. Infact I am new to this forum and this is my 1st post here.

My question is on DWS variant. I am using it for the 1st time. I have applied a rule that every Fridays the employees will work half their normal working hours (Sat & Sun are weekly offs). I have applied the rule as below:

Holiday Class of the Current Day: ..X.......

Holiday Class of the Next Day: XXXXXXXXXX

Weekday:....X..

Pls advise where do I get to see whether my DWS rule has been applied or not?

Thanks in anticipation for your response.

Regards,

Ranjeeta

Dear Ranjeet

Variant means employees will get reduced working hours on specified days like in your requirment friday will be half day

so for this you required configure DWS for friday

Define rules for variants

and define selection rules after this set work schedules rules and work schedules , after this generate work schedules manually ( t code pt01 ) in this u should give

ES Grouping

Holiday Calendar

PS Grouping

Work Schedule Rule

Then you can see the work schedule on monthly wise

Hope it helps to u

Hi Ranjeetaaaaa,

Every time you wanna check the mapping of what you have done you need to Generate the work schedule rule and see the results of your variant mapping.

Hi,

In order to check the DWS has been applied or not you need to generate the WS for a period and check which days it is showing as off and which day it is showing as half day working.

Your confusion will be cleared.
