error while creating data source in bi for uc connect

Hi Experts,

we have using ud connect to pull the data from ms sql server using jdbc,we have maintained all the settings in the j2ee engine and also we performed the smoke test which showed the tables content in the ms sql data base.

and also we have maintained the rfc connection between the j2ee and sap bi,and performed the test connection which excecuted great.

but while creating the data source in sap bi administration work bench(rsa1)>sourcesytem>udconnect>create

we have maintained the following parameters

rfc destination----

---

we have maintained the rfc destination,which we could see in sm59 for the sap bi client

logical system name----

---

we have mentioned a generic logical system name(here we are not sure)

type of connector----

---

jdbc

name of the connector------ sdk_jdbc

sourcesystemname----

---

it has taken the logical system name description when we enter the logical system name.

once after maintaining the setting.when we performed the check.

it showed us the error

check failed rfc connection:check destination

and also we got the message

ud connect connection data is not correct.

but where as when we check in sm59 w.r.t to the fist error,it shows the connection is working fine.

pls help me where i have struck and help me out in maintaining the source system connection in sap bi and creating the data source for ud connection.

Check the gateway settings for

Gateway Host

Gateway service

Also check the UDC connection information.

thanks for the reply.

we have check the connect for the gateway host and gateway settings and we also performed the smoke test and it shows good results of the tables in ms sql server.

and also we have performed the test connection in sm59 and it shows the connection is ok.

but when we are creating the source system in rsa1 administrative work bench>sourcesystem>udconnect>create

it is not taking the logical system name,we have tried giving a generic logical system name and also bi logical system name.

when we gave the generic logical system name it shows the logical sysem for the destination is not defined and when we gave bi logical system name it shows the logical system name is same as bi and the source system was not created.

what would have to be given in place of logical system name.
