Cost object not triggering for primary cost element category 1

Dear Experts,

Please guide me, how to resolve this issue,

I am posting one entry in F-02 with cost element category 1 (P&L G/L code) while posting it is not asking cost object (cost center). i have checked G/L code cost center field is optional, but same process i am doing in other client it is asking the cost object (cost center). my whole client it is behaving same all P/L gl codes not asking cost center.

what could be the reason. Please guide me

Hi

Check if you have created the P&L Account as a Primary Cost Element in KA02

Hi,

Any posting to a cost element requires a real account assignment (refer notes 41103 and 106968). If the system does not ask for a cost object then it could be because one is already assigned. The account assignment can happen based on customizing in KA03, OKB9 or OKC9. You can also manually input a cost object.

Hi,

I think while you have created Cost elements for the P & L throw OKB2 T.code you missed out given the right Cost element catagory for the respective P & L accounts.

Check if the Cost element is created for respective GL Account and also the Cost Element Catogary is current as per the Gl Account.

check once Posting Key , Field status goup field as required entry. and check once this G\L account has created as a Cost element or not?
