Can I add NEw Material Group Field In material Master.Like Matreil Grp1,2,3

In the Material Master you can maintain Material Groups at two levels

1. Client Level-MARA-MATKL-This field is relevant for grouping the materials. There are different benefits for this like you can have one inforecord for materials belonging to same material group. This can also help in grouping values for conditions in pricing

2. Sales Org Level-MVKE-MVGR1/MVGR2/MVGR3/MVGR4/MVGR5: These material groups are used for analyses and have no control function in Standard SAP

Old One is Distinguished from FI point of view.For release Procedure point of view we want to regroup different materials.

Hi,

Use External Material Group field in material master and add this field in PO Screen and store in table EKPO through enhancement "MM06E005" and also add this field in Structure CEKKO using Enhancement "M06E0004" and then configure release strategy based on this.

You can make material group in material master according to requirement,
