Why SNP heuristic does not plan the receipt for Safety Stock with MB method

HI Gurus,

I am studying about safety Stock planning.

I use MB mehthod. That is "Safety Stock (Time based maintenance).

I use the standard Planning book 9ASNP_SSP to input safety stock by time.

Then I run the SNP Heuristic. But this does not take the safety stock as requirement in order to plan receipt for that.

It only planed for Planned Independent Requirement only.

However, When I tried the SB method, the system took Safety stock as the requirement and plan receipt for that.

Is there any think wrong here?

hi...

Check following settings

1) in SPRO under CTM maintain - Make SNP Key Figures Available assign safety stock kefigure to your planning area. so that CTM will consider Safety stock

2) in CTM profile settings---- unedr supplies tab-->build up safety stock ( put this tick mark)

3) make sure you maintained safty stk method "MB" in product master...

Do I need to maintain in SPRO under CTM if I only want to run Heuristic method?
