asset exp. useful life issue

we have a old asset in the legacy, acquired in 2008, useful life 5 years, accumulated depreciation:3000 USD, this asset has remaining lives of 2 years and 2 months

we use as91 to transfer this aset, my asset take over date is 8.31.2011, the field of depreciation start day is automatically populated with value 8.1.2011, why is not 9.1.2011?

should I fill up the EXP.UL and period in new system with 2 years and 2 month? do we need to change useful live?

Hi,

Double check that the "Period in which the depreciation was last posted" was period 08.
