How substitution works in GP?

Our client requirement is, If approver goes on leave then approver should choose substitute to whom that request should go. If the approver unable to choose the substitute (ex in case of sick or out of station) then after couple of days that request needs to be deleted from the work list so that the request will be initiated again and sent to the different approvers .

Is it possible in GP? Or is there any possible work around through GP interfaces?

Hello,

The substitution functionality is not available in the UWL Guided

Procedures Connector. It is not available in both EP 7.0 or EP 7.1.

However in EP 7.1.1(EhP1), the option to Forward GP tasks from one

user to another user is available. However this is not the same as

the UWL substitution functionality.
