Adding/Deleting Item Groups

In DTW version 2005.0.31 the template for ItemGroups for the ItmsGrpCod field says

"When adding new data, the value of this field is user defined (e.g., 1,2,3, etc.)."

Yet when I put a value in that field and add a record, the record is added with the next sequential number in the table. i.e. My last itmsgrpcod is 123, the add creates a new record with itmsgrpcod of 124 and ignores the value I put in the field.

Additionally, is there anyway to delete ItemGroup records either with DTW or in SAP? I am currently running SAP 2007A

Hi,

ItmsGrpCod number is by auto number. It can never be assigned by user.

If no items assigned to the item group, it can be removed from UI.
