Hi Rafa

I am extremely thankful to u for giving ur valuable suggestions. Services has been started but still not displaying the page. Actually we changed both (database+application) server IPs . but since we install our both the servers on computer name , its computer name is as it is. Still it is displaying "Page cannot be displayed " while publishing the server. Can u give me some suggestions to checklist it for checking why the server is not working.

I will be very thankful to u if u provide me some steps to check what could be the cause why the server is not working. Database server is working properly.

thanks.

Hello Ravi Kant,

The Uperform application contacts a search engine which searches an index to find documents. Rebuilding the index will find all new and existing documents. You can try the following to troubleshoot the search issue: ->

1. Stop AutonomyIDOLServer and AutonomyDISH Services on the SearchServer

2. Stop Vignette Collaboration and VignFileSystemFetch serices on the

Application Server

3. On the application server, open a command prompt.

4. Navigate to <InstallDirectory>\Vignette\Collaboration.

5. Run the command #bin\stoprmid.bat#

6. Restart the AutonomyDISH service (this should start AutonomyIDOLServe

r)

7. Open http://<searchservername>:9000/Action=GetStatus in Internet

Explorer

8. Confirm that the XML page displays (You may need to refresh the page

several times)

9. Restart the Vignette Collaboration service (this should start

VignFileSystemFetch).

10. Login to the uPerform Website using an Admin account.

11. Click Administration->Server Administration.

12. Click Global Settings.

13. Click Administration->Services->Search Services.

14. Click the Recreate Search Database button.

15. You should begin to see results when searching in 5-10 minutes.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello Ravi Kant,

This seems to be a "standard" windows problem.

When you try to start/restart some Service from the "services" window in the "Control Panel", the Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified" means that the name of this "Service" folder, does not exist in the path, or has been changed by somebody.

Please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Double click on the AutonomyIDOLServer Service icon and the AutonomyIDOLServer Service (Local Computer) window will appear.

2. Write down the "path to executable" (you can see it in the middle of the screen).

3. Go to this path, and rename/place the folders to the correct ones as written in the "path to executable".

4. Start the service now by clicking on the AutonomyIDOLServer service icon.

Hope it help you.

Regards,

Rafa
