Tables space information in datasource

Hello all,

We need to develop a generic data source that is extracting data from DB02 (tablespace information). We are interested in the fields from system table DBA_TABLESPACES like: Size, free, used, max size, total free space, total used.

Could anyone help on this issue?

Hi ,

You can create a generic datasource on a table/view.

Use transaction Rso2 to create the same.

Select maintain generic DataSources.

A new screen will be opened giving a table related application component under in the application. Select table/view push button.

Give the table name.

Save and generate the DataSource.

Select the witch fields are transferred to bw.

Generate the DataSource.

Solution was to create a generic datasource based on a table which is filled daily with information from database.

My problem is not how to create a generic datasource but how to generate a view/table that contains information about the tablespaces. (DB02)
