4.7 ext. 110 DB-Instacne installation stops on W2k3

Hi,

during the DB Instance instalaltion of 4.7 ext. 110 with SAP DB 7.4.3 i recive the following error in sapinst_dev.log

7.4 is quite long out of support. I suggest you get a new installation media set to install using 7.6.

Ok 7.6 is supportet for w2k3 but not supportet for w2k.

What I actually try is, to get in again in 4.7 Installation process, long long time ago.

My situation is that I have an 4.7 ext 110 SAPDB 7.4. installaltion on W2k 32 Bit,. This we want to upgrade to ECC 6.0 MAxDb 7.7 on W2k8 R2 64 Bit.

I need to go the following way

1. Copy 4.7 x110 from w2k to w2k3 64 Bit

2. Uppgrade 4.7 x 110 to ECC 6.0 at the w2k3 64 Bit Hardware

3. Copy ECC 6.0 from w2k3 64 Bit tp w2k8 R2 64 Bit Hardware

Your solution to install or update the Source from 7.4 to 7.6 is not working, because it is an unsportet combination or?

Use the new 6.40 kernel

Despite the fact, that 4.71 is not explicitly listed the technical basis is the same as 4.72.
