Hi,
I created as per ur steps ...
but the issue is that i have given ale delta change document object .the delta is also visible in delta queue but when replicating and loading deltas it is giving error Message no. RSM792.
i have a doubt that when mataining the datasource with ale delta is it necessary to give generic delta or not I think it is not necessary.
please give possible solution in detail........
Thank you

Hi,
I guess you want to create a generic data source which determines the delta using ALE change pointers.
Please follopw the following steps :-
1. Create the DS of type (Master data arribute ) in RSO2 [it works correctly only if it is designated as a master data type]
2. Give the name of teh View/Table
3. Click on generic Delta and select numeric pointer
Now to set up the delta functionality using the ALE, you have to identify the Change doc. object.
4. All standard change document objects are listed in table TCDOB. Go to the table entries screen for table TCDOB (transaction code SE16). Enter the name of the base table used to build the generic extractor and execute.
For example :- If the Base table is EBAN then the change doc object is BANF
5. Go back to RSO2 and select ALE delta. There you will get a pop up where you have to enter the Table name and the change Doc onject.
You should now see a screen (Notice that some fields are checked in green in the status column. The system keeps track of any value changes or additions to these fields in the change log). Click on Transfer to activate the delta setup for the Data Source.
6. Once the data source is generated, replicate and activate it in BW side
7. After the Data source is active, it wil trigger an entry in the table ROOSGEN(in ECC).
8. Check the message type for your DS in Roosgen.
9.use transaction code BD52 and enter the message type from table ROOSGEN.
10. Delta will be generated fo rthe fields mentioned there.

Rahul
