Getting started with Crystal Reports Server in Visual Studio 2010

Hi,

I'm just getting set up to do some programming for Crystal Reports Server. I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and I already downloaded and installed CRforVS_13_0_1.exe - which installed support for Crystal Reports into Visual Studio 2010. That's fine... but it seems I'm still missing a few references. I still need:

CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework(.dll)

CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore(.dll)

Those files did not come with CRforVS_13_0_1.exe. I do not have Crystal Reports, as this project is for a client of my company. It is my company's client that owns Crystal Reports Server. What do I need to do to get these references?

Also, my client is using v12 of Crystal Reports (Server). Will v13 assemblies work ok? Are they backward compatible?

Thanks,

Steven

If you do a search on this site, you will see that this version you are trying to use does not have the enterprise components. At this time, there is no enterprise sdk that is supported for use with Visual Studio 2010. To connect to Crystal Reports Server 2008 (v12) you need to use Visual Studio 2008.

See KB 1547065 - CRVS2010 is missing BusinessObjects.Enterprise.* assemblies
