Hi
I have a job that uses cobol copybook for schema and converts source flat file to target xml. When I hard code the flat file path in cobol copybook format window, my job works fine. But when I try to use global variables that hold source and target file path+name it fails.
I get this funky looking error:
Data flow DF_X Cannot open file <àš/øøÊÁÅÈ??%Ë Ñ_ø?ÊÈÁÊÑ_ø?ÊÈ/øø%ÑÄ/ÈÑ?>^ ”* ” “˜‘ ä!(&<áèá>. Please check its path and permissions.
I can't even see proper file name in error. My flat files are EBCDIC and are transmitted as binary by FTP process.

This seems to be a bug. I suggest opening a ticket with the customer support.
As a temporary workaround, try using a using a substitution variable.
