h6.I posted this message as a reply to an answered question, but it should have its own topic, so I am posting it here.
I have an issue with a bar chart. I am charting about 400 items. Crystal creates the bars for the 400 items on the y axis (the chart is oriented horizontally based on the premise that it Can Grow downwards.)
Crystal (2008) renders all of the bars, but decides that it doesn't have room for all of the labels, so it only displays 12 of them (or 15 or 20 if I make the chart very long)
The Format Report/Format Editor has a Can Grow check box, but it is grayed out.
What causes the Can Grow option to be enabled? Can I force this? Nobody seems to know.
I have seen this question posed in forums all over the internet. This is the forum run by the company what owns Crystal Reports. Can I get a good answer about whether i can do this, and if not, what does SAP plan to do about it?
Charting a large number of items seems like a very common business problem that an industry leading product like Crystal should be able to address.
