SPRO: Activating CTS project

Hi Gurus,

I was wondering if you could help us on this message during project activation in SPRO.

A project piece list has already been assigned to the project

Message no. CTSPRJ013

Diagnosis

You want to assign a corresponding CTS project object list to project GWAPO in project system SAP_IMG_PS in the current client. However, this object list has already been assigned to the project. The object list is called SID_P00006.

System Response

The function terminates.

These are the background details.

Before system refresh

1. Projects in SPRO were put in a single TR (transport)

After the refresh

1. TR above were imported back

2. Checking SPRO, projects do exists as before

3. Problem: however, cannot select or no values found in Project field when creating a new TR?

Any helpful information is appreciated.

Did you end the CTS project before exporting the TR prior to refresh?

Thanks for your reply... No, we did not end the projects before the refresh. By the way, we have tried to delete the project (example: GWAPO) and re-create with the same name GWAPO but still it point to the same piece list SID_P00006.

Hi Welmer,

I was hoping you did. Would've been easy to simply reactivate the project.

Could you please try "Delete Project Assignment" to one of your TRs under "Assigned CTS requests" on your existing project. This would confirm if the project is indeed assigned to the TRs and thereby your piece list.

Thanks Shantanu, however we would like to wait further instructions from SAP before trying your suggestion. By the way, maybe this could help "Project GWAPO is not linked to the Change and Transport System"

Any idea why it is not linked?

Unfortunately I cannot pinpoint why but it confirms my assumption in the earlier reply. Once you get any update from SAP please do share.

Hi Shantanu,

This issue has been resolved. These are the steps.

1. Deleted the old project piece list assigned to the project.

2. Re-synchronized the buffer

3. Activated the project (generated new project piece list).
