Plant specific settings for Roll out project

Hi ,

In template roll out projects , could you please suggest what all plant specific configuration in MM needs to be taken care?

Also , when we create a new plant using ( copy/check/delete) option, what all settings are copied which we do not need to take care in the configuration part?

As per my understanding, there will be not much of configuration to be done ( since all the processes will be same and no additional setting will be required apart from the plant specific settings).

1) when we copy plant from existing one plant address and storage location will copy ,you have to change address of plant and storage location if required

2) In OMS2 material type will assign to your plant

3) In OMWD valuation grouping code will assign to your plant

Always copy the standard plant whether it is green field or roll out.So all the settings will be copied.

Still in roll out the configurations will be required to be done

Like new pur.grp,storage location,calculation schema,Rel procedure etc

You need to create the new plant.It is recommended that you copy any existing plant to the new plant & then update the address details of the new Plant.Apart from this the new Plant needs to be assigned to Company code.Please check with FI if the Plant needs to be assigned to a new company code or existing.

As per templete check if new Purchasing Org needs to be created.Based on business assin the new Purchasing org & older ones if required to this new Plant.If new Purchasing Groups are required then those needs to be created.Output device needs to be assigned to these Purchasing Groups if it part of the business requirment.

Hi Rahul,

First you will have to copy your plant with reference plant so that your table will get copied from your reference plant.

After plant creation you need to assign this plant to company code and need to create storage location for the same.

Need to decide with business whether purchasing org should assign to company code or plant level.
