ESI Employer 17 Digits No

Dear All

Could you please guide me on this , Right now my client using sap 5.0 version with patch level is 6 . in this i should maintaine enter the ESI employer NO which is in 17 digits . when ever i am maintaining that it is allowing me to enter 10 digits only . for this can you suggest me the solutions

Note 1441625 - Length of ESI number is change

Note 1478686 - ESI- Employer Reference Number length is extended
