The port number used in IDoc->PI scenario.

Hi,

I'm trying to set up IDoc settings for R/3 -> PI data integration scenario(this time R/3 is located abroad)

All setteings were completed, But connection failed.

I checked the connection between R/3 and PI,and there wass a firewall !

So I need to open the specific port between R/3 and PI in firewall.

Does anyone have ideas about the port number I should open within IDoc interface ?

regards,

I found that the IDoc connection is based on RFC interface and it's through SAP GateWay.

So the port used for the IDoc connection is 33NN(NN=instance number) ex.3300-3399.

Thanks of all replys,

Hello,

For consistency, use the port that is specified in R3 smicm and then ask the firewall team to open that port.

The port number (http) can be located via:

tcode smicm -> shift+f1

Hope this helps,

Mark

Thanks for your reply.

But I already configured SM59 (create Type3 destination.) on R/3 system.

But cannot connect with Remote logon button in SM59.

ping is Okay.So I thought that the disconnection occurred from the firewall setting.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I checked t-cd:SMICM(service display) and try to remote logon.

The displayed service did not change.

I thought that IDoc interface works RFC protocol isn't it?

Need some help.
