Hi All,
We are in implementation stage and decided morre than one profit centre can have in one sales order. Now sales order having 2 materials and assigned different profit centres. While doing the PGI for same sales order , i am getting an error profit centre mandatory for line item 3. Kindly let me know how do we solve such cases. Is it possible that Profit centre wise line items will post for COGS with using of Extended splitting. If Yes ,kindly help me out.

Hi ,
This is happening because system is not able to determine which profit center to inherit from the earlier line items. One sales order here is having two profit center which ideally should have only one profit center as the delievering plant is one. But now as it is having two, may be for reporting purpose, for the third line item you need to fix the profit center in configuration as the path given below-
Financial Accounting (New) > General Ledger Accounting (New) > Master Data > Profit Center > Assign Default Profit Center to Accounts

Hi Milind,
Thanks for your response ,but in my case it is more than one profit center due to we are using profit center dimension product group wise. As per SAP standard ,we can able to use extended splitting settings with alternative transaction variant with new document type. But in my case it is not happening. Default profit center may cause wrong MIS.
