Hi,
I have many machinery under one class. Machinery class requires heavy maintenance. This are charged to p&l . We want to track these expenses for each asset. I cannot maintain a separate gl account as it will require thousands of accounts. What are the options available?

use internal order or wbs elements for tracking of costs. any one of level we can capture the cost at the time of postings.

I agree with satish. You can maintain either internal order or you can give the asset number at the time of accounting enty in some free field like reference etc.
