Support Packages taking long time to import

when we are imported the support packages its taking long to get import. one support package is taking nearly 6 hrs to get import.its getting completed succesfully without any errors but its taking long time.Please find the logs below.

No this file does not exist....wht could be the reason...???

Good and straight question! But answers are so many....Just Search SDN/Google the error.

Agree with above Techie...First check whether you have sufficient HW resources or not?

And check the Kernel/SPAM status and update with latest available before starting the patching activity.

This file should be generated while upgrading the support patch. Are you using the recent Kernel as well as recent SPAM tool to update the Patch ? If yes then you have to open a OSS call. I have seen same message on other thread on SCN and he is struggling with same problem , it seems some bug to me. You can refer this thread.

it's depend on various factors:

Number of CPU's on your server.

Physical Memory available.

Number of Work process configured

You can check these things and use latest Kernel binaries before you start the Patch Upgrade. The log you have posted here is fine and does not seems wrong. You shoukd check the memory and CPU utlization at the time of Patch Upgade. Please provide some detail infomration about your OS, Database and SAP Version.
