Dear all,

i am created a query in BEX on top of multi provider & gave allow external access to the query, but in BICA i am unable to find that Multiprovider and Query in the list of cubes and queries.

What is the reason?

Our BICA is at SP05 level.

All BW, ABAP components are 701 SP05 level.

Hello,

Have you ever seen your queries in the BICA interface, or is this the first attempt?

In BICA can you search with the technical name or description does it come up?

There is a note in the BICA BP guide about some queries that can't be released for external access.

Check to see if you use a formula as described.

Ensure you release your BW Query for External Access. Note that some rare queries

cannot be released for External Access (e.g. if the query contains a formula with the

operator SUMCT then the query cannot be released for OLE DB for OLAP. The

operators %GT, %RT, %CT, SUMGT, SUMRT, SUMCT and LEAF depend on the

display of the list in the BEx Analyzer. If you used MDX, this formula would deliver

unexpected values.)

You may also want to check that the LinkID is working correctly.

The easiest way to check that your LinkId is working correctly is to get a list of all the available

InfoCubes and Query Cubes on the BI back end associated with the LinkId. In the Command

window in Application Server Administrator, issue the following:

SCHEMA

System>schema

CONNECT <link-id>

VIEW cubes ROWSET

END

Does any data come back in PAS after you issue the above commands?

Thanks,

Bill
