J2EE crash at try of stack trace with jcmon

Hello Guru's,

we have a unusual problem on our SAP NetWeaver Java 7.0 SP20 on AIX 6.1 (6100-06-03-1048) with IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc64-64 j9ap64142ifx-20110312 (JIT enabled)

A view minutes (sometime hours) after restart the portal gives no answer to a http request.

Also no timeout.

We coul'd find anything wrong in the logs.

Also no full filesystem or out of memory memory. DB is ok. CPU is ok, too.

We tried to make stacktrace dump, but the system crashed with a core and restart.

We don't know anymore, what we can do.

Have someone a suggestion.

regards

chris

Update vendor JDK, or change to SAPJVM.

Dear Chris,

Hope you are doing good.

This is a known issue and will be resolved by using the latest kernel patches (OS also should be patched to the latest)

SAP Note No. 1381645: IBM JVM creates core instead of thread dump.

Below links will help as well:
