we create legacy asset data, capitalization date is 2011.5.31.

my asset take over date is 8.31.2011, I found in as91, the original asset number is greyed out, how to enter old asset number in this field?

also when I click "take over ", I find I can only input accumulated depreciation field, i.e. 200 USD, but how to enter the acquisition value, APC value? thanks

Hi

Original Asset No: Check IMG > AA > master Data > Screen Layout.. Here, you need to allow this field as Optional

APC VAlue: for assets acquired during the current Fiscal Yr, click on the "Transactions" button in "Tak over" tab and enter the APC values

3. 01 book depreciation USD

how to enter APC values? this looks like enter depreciation,

Hi

Asset Val Date = Purchase date or Capitalization date

Tr Type = 100

01 & 18 are Dep Areas - Here you enter APC Value

our new legacy asset is form other company code

I use transaction 158(gross pre. year), 154(current year), what is the difference between 156(net) and 158?

My old asset is APC value: 2000 USD, accumlated depreciation is 100 USD

previously I enter 100 USD as accumulated dep. my cap. date is 5.2011, asset take over date is 2011.Aug

in asset explorer, 2011.8 is legacy transfer of --100 USD

after I enter transaction type 158 , 2000 usd for APC, I go back to asset explorer, I find planned depreciation becomes 88.89 for 2011.5,

11.11 for month 6,7,8,9, Aug also has another line: -100

why? how is planned depreciation for 2011.5 is calculated? useful live 15 years, straight line depreciation,

should i use net method? how to make sure new asset is accumulated dep,. 100 USD?
