Change language for SAPGUI

Former Member

Hi,

We have recently installed the SAP systems. However, I am unable to change the GUI logon Language - The Language that appears on the first page (not the drop down). Its default is English.

From a few posts I was able to understand that I need to install a language pack? Could some one please help me with this.

Steps or articles related to this would be helpful.

Thanks!

Thanks for your response.

I have gone through that thread before. But the steps are not mentioned clearly there.

It says "If changing the language is for the whole system and for each and every login, have your Basis guys change the default in the instance profile"

how do you change the language in the instance profile?

This profile parameter zcsa/system_language you have to change via RZ10 and add the additional language whatever you want to set and save and activate the profile and then restart the server.

It worked!

This is what I did

C:\usr\sap\<<SID>>\SYS\profile

Open the .pfl file and add this after the predefined parameters in the file

change / add the parameter

zcsa/installed_languages = DEP

zcsa/system_language=D

zcsa/second_language=E

changes the system lang to German.
