Hi All,
I have installed a Solution Manager 7.0 Ehp1 system on Windows Server 2003 64 bit OS, the J2SDK version is 1.4.2_17. The problem I am facing is with the SAP Download Manager. I've downloaded and Installed it, upon the first run I donot get any configuration screens to configure the IP and other settings. Also this is the message I get
The basket content could not be read. The following exception occured :
Unable to read data from SAP Service Marketplace : Check your settings and try again.
I've been told that its not compatible with 1.4.2_17, any workarounds ????
Thanks in advance!
If the issue isn't solved yet open a message under XX-SER-SAPSMP-SDM and they'll check the issue in the SAP backend.

Hi
Before that, check have you maintained proper suser in SDM CONFIG(correct password) (SDM->View-> configurtion->connection)
2) Check do you any proxy config in your network, missing the same maintained in SDM> configuratin> connection. proxy settings.
3)Check the event log any specific error while trying to download?
chk the note [Note 401195 - Download Manager: Unable to read basket content|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=401195]

I think there are three more possibilities:
- proxy settings aren't correct (proxy server + port)
- firewallsettings are not correct
- user settings are not correct
Is there any download manager working in your company? Compare the settings.

Hi,
in the download manager you can configure the connection via "View - Download Manager Configuration".
