Greetings. I'm a newbie to BW and I'm not sure how can I use the truncate function in the Query Designer. Your input is much appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Vasan,
U can get TRUNC function in Bex Query Desinger under Mathematical functions.
I hope this is helps for calculations via creatinf a formula.Else you will have to get the calculations done at backend in feild routine as described by Amrita.

Hi,
Try writing a field routine in transformations for that info-object .
Go to the transformation , find the field which needs to be changed in the target ,right click create rule - in that select routine ->
in this write the code to truncate the values .
you can use F1 help , for the proper syntax

I hope Truncate option is not available in the Query desighner.But if u you give more information what you want to truncate in the report i can help you on this
