SRM Installation

Hi Guys,

I need some help regarding the installaiton of different components of SRM.

We are on ECC 6.0. SRM comes as an Add-on to ECC 6.0. This is not full-blown SRM as there some components that can't be used. We are planning to go for the Classic Scenario. Only SC will be in SRM. PO, GR and IV will be in R/3. Contract will also be in R/3.

1. Can I know what version of SRM is this? Link below is not clear. It says SRM 5.0. Is it SRM 5.0 with SRM Server 5.5? Or SRM 5.0 with SRM Server 5.0? Based on the SRM server we have to figure out how to go about it.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/index_srmaddon.htm

2. We are planning to integrate SRM with Portal. I would like to clarify what version of EP we have to use? Is it EP 6.0 or EP 7.0?

3. Which version of ITS Server we have to use? Is it 7.0?

4. We are not planning to use Catalog. Our source can be Info Record or Contract from R/3. To achive this do we need to transfer these info to SRM? If yes, do we need to have CCM 2.0 add-on component?

5. Do we need to have NetWeaver 2004s (TREX)? We are going to Attach documents to SC.

Thanks

Debashish

Hi Samal

The link which you have refered is for SRM 5.0 and SRM server 5.5.

If you refer to the link and go to Architeture and technology --> Administration --> Creation of Org plan

It refers to diffierent org pla for Vendor and differnt for Compnay code

The different root node marked in RED and transcation is

also different PPOVA.

This link refers to SRM Version 5.0

point 2

EP veriosn 7.0 is compatibel However if you have EP 6 then upgrade to sP17 which is equal to EP7.

Point 3 ITS version 7.0 and will be internal ITs

point 4 there is no need to transfer the info records to SRM

point 5 TRex is required only iof you use CCM,

If you can give me your email Id I can send you one good do on Architeture which gives for SRM server 5.5 what componenet should be used business sceanraio wise.

Hi Namish,

If you are refering to the Master guide then I already have it. Over there there is a table specifing which components are needed. I just want to double confirm as we are using the SRM add-on that comes with ECC 6.0.

If you are refering to some other document then please send me at <samaldebashish@yahoo.com>

Thanks
