LCM and SAP Authentication

Hi all !

hmm, LCM does not support SAP Authentication...

If in our dev and qas system we use only sap authentication, so how we can transport objects from dev to qas ?

Create enterprise alias or use Import Wizard ?

Any ideas ?

Best way is to create enterprise account as alias and use it for migration through LCM, if you are not worried about version control then you can use Import Wizard.

Dear,

I suggest you use LCM, in fact LCM will take care also about objects dependencies and it is much more easy to use then Import Wizard, more you can Roll Back.

Then I suggest to create an Enterprise User for that task.

I need to create concept to transport objects in our landscape : DEV->QAS->PRD.

Example, developer create unv or report, then he e-mail administrators to transport objects.

Administrator use LCM and create and promote jobs.

thats ok ?

Go for LCM, so that you can use the same job to promote objects from Dev to QA to Prod.

Hi Alexander,

the concept itself seems ok just few remarks:

1- Before go to from QAS to PROD I will add an User Acceptance Test in the middle.

2- if your universes are buitl on Top of BEx queries and the BEx query is newly created you need to sync. SAP transport with BOXI transport.
