Flat file upload Error

hi Expert,

I will appreciate your help on resolving the error while uploading the flat file in to BPC.......Dimension: Account- Member - Extra sale is invalid or it is a calculated member.

Hi,

Also check if the member is a valid member or if the transformation file is picking up the correct column for the dimension.

Hi Srikant,

In addition to above suggestions, please check if you are not duplicating any member ID in the Account dimenion member sheet. It will throw an error is the IDs are duplicated.

Secondly, you can only enter data in the Base level members, that means, it has to be the lowest level member of Account hierarchy.

Third, While uploading data the calculated members should not be used to enter data. Once you run logics or dimension formula, it will be calculated automatically.

Hi,

BPC holds data only for the base level members. So, you need to check your flat file and ensure that you dont have any calculated members (parent node or a member with dimension formula).

Hi Srikant,

It is only permitted to upload a member which has not children, all codes should be in a level to be able to post data.

Hi,

Posting the input on Calculated members in BPC is not allowed and data can only be entered at Base level members and from there on the calculated members will calculate the value..

In your issue wheather the Extra Sale is calculated then you cant post the value..

If the member is showing as Invalid means can be many reasons like..after you entered the Member in dimension level the dimension could have not been processed and can be other reasons also..

Please post the clear discription of error after processing all the steps..
