Hello
Business area is independent of organization units, you can use same business area for multiple company codes

HI,
Business Area is not assigned to Company code as it is created at Client Level, Same as Posting Key, Document type etc.,
Hence you can use this Business Area to all the Company Code available with in the Client.

Dear:
A complete income statement for a business area can be drawn if the business area being considered applies to a single company code however for a more functional statements a business area can be distributed among multiple company codes, or even among multiple systems within the group. In this case you would need to eliminate, in particular, business transactions which are business area-internal but also span company codes. Hence in order to achieve consolidation functionality you can assign multiple GSBER to BUKRS Company code.
