Import queue on spam

Hi all,

We are in the proess of applying Support Packages from 7.0 SP13 to 7.0 SP19

I did patch spam with latest version and import queue SP19 on spam. I can see there is a job RDDGENOL running on SM37 for long time 30 hours.

On SM50 I have a BG job running for DDIC user and there is to table and action is resd form "RFBLG" and insert on "QCMBSEG".

From Action log I have : Import phase 'IMPORT_PROPER' (27.05.2011, 12:01:55)

I did tried to stop Import Queue and start that again but import queue take long time.

Although you have latest kernel, TP and R3trans can be more current on independently applied.

Also check tables PAT01 and PAT* for status. Compare to other systems. SAP doesn't like customer maintaining tables but if you know what you are doing you can reset them. SAP will do this if you allow them in.

Hi,

Its looks like its hung with TP problem. Check the transport tool or the permission to relevent transport directories.

Hi,

From your logs:

WARNING: '/usr/sap/trans/tmp/Q110527.RSX' : cant open

Can you check on the OS level if the above two files exist? And if so has proper read/write permissions?

Resetting the SPAM from this phase could make your system inconsistent. A system restore could be the last resort.

But I would check the above warnings first.

Reset from Import stage can create inconsistences on your system. I would suggest to open a OSS call and let them hava a look why this file is not created and tp is looking for the file. If the directory has proper permission then temporary file should be created but the file does not exist that means there s something wrong. without system access it is impossible to analyse.

Hi Ejersbo DavidR ,

Have you done the Kernel Upgrade? if not then Kill the TP ,R3 Trans & Reset the AQueue and do the kenrel upgrade and start import again.

Get the latest transport log to analyse the current status. Check the file on /usr/sap/trans/tmp as well as /usr/sap/trans/log directory and check the last update file and see what information you get there.
