Not possible to carry out the forecast - basic value is zero

Hi,

The history key figure is loaded into the planning area and is visible in planning book. When I click on the Forecast button, the pop-up screen for selecting the forecast profile displayed. After selecting the forecast profile, the system display message "Not possible to carry out the forecast - basic value is zero" .

The values of the History key figure also showing blank in all the columns in the Forecast in Interactive Planning; change mode screen. When there are values for History column in the planning area/ planning book, why it is showing blank in the forecast screen.

Kindly help to execute the forecast.

In your case you must have activated EX-Post correction mehtod. this will correct your history data automatically based on selected srategy and this will be input to your forecast. try to execute forecasting withput this autocorrection method or corect your sales hsitory as per your strategy. aqlso check whether you got proper sales history data for selected horizon....

The issue was closed by changing the Forecast Model from Season to non-seasonal methods
