SD for service industry

Can someone explain me briefly how SD is utlized for servie industry.One thing I know is that service are opened as materials using material type"Services" but other than that I dont know much.It would be great some information can be provided regarding the normal sd process and one with only services.Thank you.

In Normal Service Sales cycle, no goods mevement happens, No Delivery creation.

it will start with Service order creation and Billing the same.

Service Order --> Service Billing.

Inquiry, Quotation and contract are optional, Service Material should be created with Sales Views.
