regarding Date conversion to Number

By mistake i did mapping with Source Date field to an infoobject which is of type number in BI.

The value is changed from 20110101 to 36.848

I tried on another date and i got below output.

input date : 20110102

output :: 37.213

Can anyone tell me how the date is converted to 36.848 and 37.213

Is it just a garbage value or some sort of conversion taken place?.

Hello,

Suggest re-mapping the date filed to proper date info object and then re-load the data to overcome this problem.

i didn't ask help for how to map the fields and objects.

I asked how the date is converted to a value which i showed you as example.

is it a garbage value or used some conversion routine or some sort of logic which converted date to that particular decimal number.

Hi,

It is not junk value but some SAP internal unique numbers for each date. I couldnt find any documentation on this. But you can currency tables TCURR where date is stored in numbers.
