Status Profiles

I have tried to create a status profile for an existing order type from standard SAP. But I get thee following error.

"Status profile PWGSC is not allowed for "OVG"

Message no. BS020

Diagnosis

Status profile PWGSC may not be used for object type 'OVG'.

Procedure

Use another status profile or allow the use of status profile PWGSC by object type 'OVG'. "

Can you please advise on how I assign a status profile to enable technical statuses on a work order?

Hi,

You need to create a User Status profile rather than change the standard system status.

Use transaction OIBS to create the user status profile then assign this to the order type.
