Adding custom field on portal while creating travel expense

Former Member

Hello all,

In the R3 backbend system Transaction TRIP we have added custom fields in Structure PTK99 and modified the standard program and screen SAPMP56T 9999.

Now we need to add the same custom fields in 'Create Travel Request' view of travel and Expense Page of standard ESS .

Could you tell me if I need any EHP installed or special add-on in our system? We are now ECC 6.0 SPS 22.

Please help.

Regards

Based on your backend version, I believe you are using Webdynpro Java applications for T & E.

You will need to modify the corresponding Webdynpro Java application delivered by SAP to include your custom field.

NWDI and NWDS are required to make any source code changes to ESS source code.

Have a look at SAP Note 872892.

Thanks,

Thanks Shanti,

Yes, we are using Webdynpro Java applications for T & E.

Do yo know the Server path to locate and modify the corresponding Webdynpro Java application with NWDS?

The iview ID is: com.sap.pct.erp.ess.allmytrips.

Thanks again and regards.

The corresponding DC is sap.com/ess~tra and the application name is AllMyTrips.

Here is the link with more info:

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/9e/ac5641998e061de10000000a155106/frameset.htm

Like I said before, if you have NWDI installed and a track created, then you can import the corresponding DC into your NWDS and modify it as per your needs.

Thanks,

Shanti

To be able to use the Webdynpro ABAP version of the T & E Applications, you should be atleast on ECC 6.0 EHP2.

Please see SAP note 1074090 and the attached notes for more info.

Thanks,

Shanti
