Depreciation catch up for closed fiscal year

Hi Experts,

When an asset is capitalized with asset value date falling in closed fiscal year, system catch up depreciation to the externt of current year but does not take into consideration of closed year periods. I know this is standard behaviour of sysem. Is there any way to post the catch up of previous year periods as well without opening the closed fiscal year. Example will explain more about the issue.

Fiscal year already closed 2010

Posting in fiscal year 2011 e.g. on 27.05.2011 with asset value date 01.01.2011 which means Jan Feb and March falling in closed fiscal year. System calculating depreciation from April to May and showing in May but not taking inot consideration for Jan Feb and March and sperading these three months depreciaton in useful life of asset.

Your input is apprecaited.

Thanks!!!
