Missing Components in Production Order

Hi,

We have a Production Order for the FERT Material. There are say 5 components in the BOM of the FERT material. These 5 components are also assigned in the routing of the FERT Material. Now we had created the Production order by converting the Planned order.We had completed the confirmation and then settled the order. Now when we checked the components consumption, we can see that only 4 components are consumed instead of 5 components. Can anyone say what could be the reason why the 5th compoinet used. Do we have a workaround to issue the 5th component manually to the Production Order so that we can reverse the variance due to this missing component.

Hi,

Reason for not consume the 5th component may be you does not tick on back flush indicator in material master MRP view 2. In this case this line item you may find in CO47 and you can consume from there.

Another reason may be stock would not be sufficient in that case this line item you can find in COGI and you can consume from there.

Thanks for the reply., We have already maintained Backflush indicator(1-Always) for this component. Moreover there are other similar Production Orders in which 5th component appearing and consumed perfectly in the component overview of Production Order. The Problem is only with a single production order, what could be the reason why this component is missing from Production Order.?.

As suggested by you, i went to tcode C047, but this is asking for a Sales Order. i do not know what to enter?.Actually these Production orders are created by converting the Planned Orders not Sales Orders.

Please suggest how can we consume the missing component again to balance the Inventory Variance.

There are no COGI errors for this Production Order and material. FYI.

Hii aditya,

The possible reason could be... when the planned/production order were created after any changes in BOM.. then this planned or production order will not conside the component which has been maintained in BOM... if u have option to reverse u reverse the production order read the master data changes and check for the component...

Incase if already quality cleared and if u can't reverse this.. then check for COR2/COR3 List-->Document goods movement and if 261 is not happened u can issue the same against the production order using MB1A... just check

hi Aditya,

There could be many reasons for a component not getting backflushed and not appearing in COGI and it will be very hard to list them all.

Few example could be

That material could have been marked as bulk for that order

Final issue indicator would have been ticked

Component was not there in the order BOM when back flushing happened.

User manually delted the item in backflushing etc.

Try do a goods issue for that production order again in MIGO or MB1A and if you see this component still , you can issue it. If not you have investigate furter.
