Decimal point problem in BPC Cube

Former Member

Hi All,

I am working on SAP BPC 7.5

When I run Data Manager Pkg. figures in CPMB cube are not matching with the BI Cube.

Ex. BI Cube

GL_Account Amount

400000 1500.00 (ie Rs 1500/-)

and in CPMB Cube (BPC CUbe)

GL_Account Amount

400000 150000.0000000 (Rs 15000/-)

BPC system is not considering decimal points of BI cube and giving result as X100 times

I have tried AMOUNTDECIMALPOINT option in transformation, but not producing results...

Please suggest me any solution.

Thanks and Regards,

SD

Hi,

it seems that BPC does not consider the so called currency shift in BW InfoCubes. In BW (as in Business Suite) the currency values stored in the DB depend on the currency used. The technical decimals for amounts are 2, but to be able to interpret the value one needs the currency.

The exceptional currenies are maintained in table TCURX.

Examples:

1 EUR on DB is 1.00 since EUR has 2 decimals, no record in TCURX.

1 JPY on DB is 0.01 since JPY has 0 decimals, TCURX record for JPY has value 0 for field CURRDEC.

One solution might be that you do the shift for exceptional currencies when transferring the data to BPC. Though one might expect that this works out of the box, so ask the support whether this features exists.

Regards,
