ODBC Error "Access denied (Authorization failed) (7512)"

I am trying to connect Crystal Reports v8 to a progress 9.1b database using the following ODBC settings:

The connection tests sucessfully, Crystal sees the Database, Tables and Fields but when I try to browse fields (see the data) or preview the report I get the following error messages:

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Nathan,

CR 8 is so old now I doubt it was ever tested on that version of Progress so I can't say if it should or ever will work.

Unfortunately CR 8 is so old now and there are no downloads/patch available any more your only option is to upgrade to CR 2008 or CR 2011 and test again. Contact our Sales department from upgrade pricing or whomever you originally purchased the product from.
