Hi Expect

I am trying to do POC. SAP MDM to PI and PI to SAP MDM

Please let me know what all connections i need to create

Do i need to create port in PI also?? if yes what type of port...

please provide any documents if any.

Hi,

For connecting to MDM, you would first need to deploy the MDM adapter. Please go through the following links for deployment of MDM adapter and configuration requred for connectivity.

On PI, you need to install the MDM PI Adapter. Please start from the help page below for installing it properly

After that, it depends:

1. MDM -> PI: You need to create the outbound port on MDM and configure it on the SENDER MDM communication channel. Everytime the Syndication is performed, MDM api will call PI to retrieve the data.

2. PI -> MDM: An inbound port will be configured on MDM. After that, a RECEIVER MDM communication channel will save the files into the folder and trigger the import on Import Manager (or only leave the file there for a later manual import).
