Hello,
we are trying to lock a contract line by "Block Local Sourcing" option, however error message "The item has no distribution and also not available locally for sourcing" is displayed. Do you know how we que block contract line in SRM 7.0?
Thanks.
Regards,
Nelson
Hi
Unfortunately PURCHASERS are missing to understand the meaning of the SAP filed by F1 help in the web front. This is one of the disadvantages in the ITS / Webdynpro front end compare to GUI ...
What is the status of this contract ?
Block Local Sourcing" checkbox - This facility is new facility in CCTR from SRM 700 version onwards.
--
Lock the contract is available for HEADER level
if you want to block it you need to edit the contract and make the line item as INACTIVATE and distribute the contract to backend system
Is your contract Local or Distributed to Backend system?
--
By default, every item in a central contract is available as source of supply locally. If you do not want the items to be available locally, set the Block Local Sourcing indicator on the General Data tab page.
Note 1332404 - No error for contract without distribution and local sourcing

Hi Nelson
I am trying to understand once again
1.you have a local contract
2. it has many line items
3. now you want to block one line item for business purpose not allow to use contract?
is it correct ?
what is your current SP in SRM ?
In olden days we set line item as INACTIVE and distribute to backend system - In GOA the same set to lock the line item in the ECC contract.
Hello,
I will try to answer your questions:
1.you have a local contract - yes
2. it has many line items - yes
3. now you want to block one line item for business purpose not allow to use contract? - yes
is it correct ?
what is your current SP in SRM ?
We are using SAP SRM 7.0 with the last SP version.

Nelson
Thank you
sorry to ask you the same question again
SYMPTOM -
1. created a contract with 3 items MM -001 , 002 and 003 in Extended Classic scenario
2. sc utilised can enjoy these three items without any issues and create a PO w.r.t contract via sc.
3. now BUYER wanted to block MM-002 material line item in the contract not MM-002 sc line item should not avail the above contract
4. now BUYER go to line item and flag BLOCK FOR SOURCING
5. Now BUYER gets an error ?
