Stack file for upgrade to Solution manager 7.1

Hi,

we have a problem to upgrade to Solman 7.1.

Our system is a Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 Stack 26

For the upgrade you need to create a stack file in the MOPZ.

When we want to create an upgrade XML with SAP Solution Manager maintenance optimizer , it is only possibel to create a file for a stack package. We can not choose upgrade to 7.1 ???

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Also, SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is in Ramp up state. So, you will be able to upgrade only if you are registered for Ramp-up.

Check SAP Note 1577909 - Supplements to Solution Manager 7.1.

thats right. We are signed for Ramp-up! Without signed it is not possible to download the upgrade or installation files.

I know this sapnote. And we want to do exactly this, but we can not choose upgrade to Solman 7.1 in the MOPZ!

Prerequisite 1) You have Solman SP26, I believe that you need SP23, so this is ok.

Prerequisite 2) You must apply to Solman 7.1 rampup program

Prerequisite 3) What product version is defined for this solution manager system in SMSY ?

1) we have SP26 in place

2) yes we are signed for Ramp-up

3) SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1

Hi,

If you have registered with SAP for ramp-up of solman 7.1 then you can download upgrade media for solman 7.1 which will be available on SMP. For more information about DVD media lable you can check installation section of solution manager and there you will find guide having media list.

We found the reason.

It was a wrong Kombination for the OSS-User-ID in the AISUSER Table and the RFC-Connection to sapnet.

The MOPZ check the OSS-User-Id if this id is signed for the Ramp-up. And only if this valid you get the option to upgrade to Solman 7.1 .........
