Hi All,

I am Connected through VPN with my client Machine When ever i am trying to login to the designer ,

I am facing this issue , We are using single sign on With SAP System.

I am able to login sap System or infoview with same User name and pwd I didn't understand what is the issue.

The server is running fine.

[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Unable to log on: Could not connect to server . Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running.

(hr=#0x80042a01)

You will need to install the SAP Integration Kit on your client machine.

As it is installed on the server, Webi/Infoview will be fine.

Hello

I installed SAP Integration Kit in my client machine.

I am able to create Crystal reports with SAP BW query s.

but i am facing this issue while login to the universe.

Well, this error is a bit of a catch all.

Some other things for you to check:

Firstly, check that all the servers in the CMC are up and running.

Also, is there a firewall blocking ports 6400 - 6499?

Another solution to try is to uninstall client from your computer, clean out the registry for any references to BO keys, and remove the c:\program files \Business Objects folder, then reinstall.

Hi,

Check the host file on your local system and see BOE Server entry is there or not.If not then enter the details in the host file and try again to login on the designer.

Hi,

check below points or check SAP Note 1561534..

Cause

The communication with the CMS is not possible. This could have several causes:

1. Name resolution is not working correctly

check this using "nslookup <servername>" on console

2. Communication on the specific port is not allowed by firewall rules

check this using "telnet <servername> <cmsport>" on console

Resolution

Request the network engineers to either

1. Fix the DNS lookup, or

2. Add rules to the firewall to enable the communication with the specified port

Hi Amit,

My network team open the 6400 port ,

Even though i am unable to login the designer.

In the command prompt telnet to my server "Connecting to "00.00.00.000" Could not open coonection to the host on port 23,

Connect failed.

Please let me know what to do?

Hi,

First check if 6400 port is opened then it should be ping by telnet..

like telnet servername 6400.check you are getting blank screen or it is showing connecting...

I checked the net work team said they opened the port to my system,

Even though when telnet the <server name> 6400 showing below error,

"Connecting to "00.00.00.000" Could not open coonection to the host on port 6400

Connect failed.

Please guide me what to do?

Hi,

It means port does not opened...If port is opened then it means when you do telnet on particular port then blank screen will come.

Check with your network team.

Hi Amit,

I checked with Network team they said After connecting to VPN still traffic is in my local network only that is not going to client Net work,

That might be the problem i will check with my client and let you know.
