Could not enter characteristic value 0CURRENCY with SID 2 in /BI0/SIOBJNM

Ok, I'm trying to load data into an infocube and I get this message:

Could not enter characteristic value 0CURRENCY with SID 2 in table /BI0/SIOBJNM

Procedure

Check the table /BI0/SIOBJNM (transaction se16). Find out why the record with the value 0CURRENCY and the SID 2 cannot be entered into the table. Note that there is also a unique index in the 'SID' column. This means that each SID appears a maximum of once.

Use transaction RSRV, test "Comparison of Number Range and Maximum SID" for characteristic 0IOBJNM, to determine whether there is an inconsistency between the number range object and the maximum SID. If there is an inconsistency, you can also repair it in this transaction. If this does not remove the problem, carry out the other master data tests in transaction RSRV for characteristic 0IOBJNM.

Now, the problem is that when I go to RSRV and I try to do that, it doesn't let me. I got a message saying:

0IOBJNM is not a characteristic but an InfoObject of type DPA

Also, I'm getting short dumps at the moment of activating BI content and they end up in the same place.

We're in BW 7.3 and support package level is 0.

Any help or ideas, please?

Hello,

We have the same problem and solve doing this steps:

  • Go to transaction RSRV.
  • Master Data.
  • Compare number Range and MaximunSID.
  • Parameter Entry (Char.  0IOBJNM)
  • Click "Execute" (F8)
  • Appear Error
  • Go back
  • Click "Correct Error" (Shift + F8)
  • And the error was correct.

Now you can transport th object.

I hope you have fixed the error and as we are leaving us to carry the order fixed.

Regards.

this thread is about the same issue, but a different object. it seems you need to do RSRV on 0CURRENCY, not 0IOBJNM

Thanks.

I tried doing it for 0CURRENCY too, but I get this message:

0CURRENCY is not a characteristic but an InfoObject of type UNI

I can't really understand what is the table that he's referring to as 0000 and space. Do you know which one is it?

you should be able to run test Comparison of Number Range and Maximum SID for 0CURRENCY. do the single test, not the combined test.

Thanks for your help, but I get the error mentioned above. I can't run for it.

I'm pretty sure it's a standard program issue as 0UNIT, 0CURRENCY and all the characteristics that give me an error are trying to be inserted in the table with value 2 for SID. However, this value is already being used for 0INFOPROV.

But I can't find any note or workaround for this problem.

strange that you can't run it, because i can on my system. it's about the only master data test you can execute for 0CURRENCY.

if possible, you might try to empty the cube (with dimid deletion) and the master data and try loading again.

Yeah, tried that. The cube is empty and there's no master data already loaded...not sure how to fix this.

The solution for this is on my other question. We needed to apply the SP 2 and then use RSRV.

As I say above, the solution is the following:

We needed to apply the SP 2 and then use RSRV.
