NW 2004s AS JAVA inst -Admin locked

Hi,

Installation of Netweaver 2004s Application server JAVA + EP (aix/oracle) failed in Configuration

of SLD, which was phase 34 of 37.

The sapinst.log says that the SLDUSER=Administrator is either locked or has

wrong password.

I tried to unlock the Administrator user following an SAP note which pointed to

help.sap.com documentation for creating an emergency user sap, but after creating the sapuser, I am not able to connect using visual

administrator, neither am i getting the UME options through NWA.

As soon as I activated the sap* user using config tool, I restarted Server and started visual admin, but visual admin is not able to connect to the system.

The J2EE link is working, (http://host:port). If i go there and click on UME, it asks me for username, password. i can login with sap* but administrator user is greyed out, i cant change it. Same with NWA, where it says you dont have authorizations.

Also, after activating the emergeny user, the

http://host:port/sld and http://host:port/useradmin links

are returing that some service is not available. They were working before the activation of emergency user.

Any Idea?

Hello cyrus,

The first thing is that please cross check that the administrator user has been unlocked.

Second is that after you have unlocked administarator user please de-activate the SAP* user before using the administrator login.
